Shangri-La Destination Restaurant*
Muscat, Oman

Conceived as a destination restaurant within the larger Bar Al Jissah complex, Shangri-La created a culinary journey down the fabled Mekong River, from the heights of Himalayans through China’s Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces through the tropical zones and delta plains to the sea.
The signature visual feature at the Mekong is the theatre kitchen showcasing a back drop of Asian cooking that incorporates a water feature representing the Mekong River. The BOH Kitchen, also provides mise-en-place for the adjacent Lebanese Restaurant under construction, and the Amphitheatre built as a part of the Resort expansion.
